The version 6 of Blur+ now has all the patches from Blur Perfected! This project is archived, but I will continue to patch Blur+ and fix bugs.
A fork of Blur+ that changes blur animation calculation and simplifies the logic, fixing almost every single bug in Blur+ issue tracker
Changes made:
- Spam Proof: fixes bugs related to "spamming" GUIs updates (GUIs changing too quickly, e.g. holding the E key)
- Continuous Animations: fixes bugs where frames of the fade in/out animation were skipped, or animation was suddenly reset
- Simpler Logic: uses a simpler logic, enabling more compatibility and stability
- Fix Persistant Blur Issues: Fixes bugs were the blur effect was not cleared even after closing all GUIs
- new feature that let's you select different animation curves for the background gradient and/or blur animations
- new feature that let's you toggle blur for Book edit/view/sign screen, Command Block edit screen and Sign edit screen separately, these screens were not previously blurred at all by the upstream blur+ 5.3.2
- optimization for not drawing background gradient or blur animations when it's not noticeable

How to install Blur Perfected
With Millida Launcher
Install Millida Launcher
The launcher is free: download it at millida.net/launcher and sign in with any nickname.
Click “Install” on this page
The launcher opens and installs the mod for Minecraft 1.21.5–1.21.11 on Fabric or NeoForge automatically, together with its dependencies: Fabric API, MidnightLib.
Launch the game
A profile with it appears in the launcher: click “Play”.
Manually
Install Fabric or NeoForge
The loader must match the game version of the mod file, for example Minecraft 1.21.11. After installing it, a separate profile appears in your launcher.
Download the file for your version
In the version list above, pick the file blurperfected-neoforge-5.3.2-rev.3+1.21.11.jar (158 KB) for your game version and loader.
Put it in the mods folder
The folder is inside .minecraft (Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\mods). If it does not exist, create it. Required dependencies go there too: Fabric API, MidnightLib.
Launch the loader profile
Open “Mods” in the main menu: Blur Perfected should be in the list.
Blur Perfected works on the player’s side only: there is no need to install it on a server.
Minecraft 1.21.11 runs on Java 21: with a different Java version the game may close right after launch.

There are files for 1.21.5–1.21.11, 7 versions in total. The newest is 1.21.11.
Is Blur Perfected for Forge or Fabric?
There are files for Fabric: 1.21.5–1.21.11 and for NeoForge: 1.21.5–1.21.11. There are no files for Forge: a mod for another loader will not start.
What does Blur Perfected need to work?
Required: Fabric API, MidnightLib. Without them the mod will not start: dependencies go into the same mods folder. Optional: Mod Menu.
