General Info
Bats Galore is a mod originally made for Mycelium Network's 2023 Spooky Jam. It adds a ton of unique bat variations to the game! Most bats can naturally be found in the Spooky Oak biome, a new orangish biome found in the overworld.
More Details
In addition to spookily flying around, each bat drops a specific type of candy when it's killed. Each of these candies can be consumed, but beware because not all of them are beneficial!
The mod also adds a special bat type called the Void Bat. This bat does not naturally spawn in game. But, if you click it, you'll be sent to the end, as if you made contact with an ender portal.
Altar of Turmoil
In the Spooky Oak biome, there is a chance of stumbling across a structure called the Altar of Turmoil. The structure consists of four pedestals along the perimeter. Four very special bats in the mod drop four different types of cores. Once you have obtained these cores, try placing one on each pedestal and see what happens!
Note: This mod has versions for both Forge and Fabric!

With Millida Launcher
Install Millida Launcher
The launcher is free: download it at millida.net/launcher and sign in with any nickname.
Click “Install” on this page
The launcher opens and installs the mod for Minecraft 1.20.1 on Fabric or Forge automatically.
Launch the game
A profile with it appears in the launcher: click “Play”.
Manually
Install Fabric or Forge
The loader must match the game version of the mod file, for example Minecraft 1.20.1. After installing it, a separate profile appears in your launcher.
Download the file for your version
In the version list above, pick the file batsgalore-forge-1.20.1-1.2.3.jar (670 KB) for your game version and loader.
Put it in the mods folder
The folder is inside .minecraft (Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\mods). If it does not exist, create it.
Launch the loader profile
Open “Mods” in the main menu: Bats Galore should be in the list.
Minecraft 1.20.1 runs on Java 17: with a different Java version the game may close right after launch.
